Annual Meeting of the Illinois State Medical Society
Lake County has been represented by at least eight delegates to the Annual Meeting of the Illinois State Medical Society for nearly 20 years. The number of delegates for each District (Lake County is District 1) is dependent on the number of members in the district. The ISMS House of Delegates meets each year in April and deliberates over dozens of Resolutions that are submitted from around the state. Some work their way to the American Medical Association House of Delegates, some are eventually part of legislation considered by our Illinois state legislature.
