Topic: Discovery Issues in Malpractice Matters
Ms. Schramm will use real case examples from cases that she has defended in her discussion on how to manage record requests, faxes, prescriptions and more. Ms. Schramm has been a popular speaker at past programs. LCMS members and staff are welcome to join us for this interesting luncheon topic on February 14 at Lovell's Restaurant in Lake Forest. Join us for a brief presentation on a proposed national wildlife refuge in our back yard! This is a proposed national wildlife preserve that will encompass portions of McHenry and Lake Counties and land in Wisconsin.

Mini-Internship Debriefing & Thank You Dinner Party
We will gather informally to discuss your impressions of the Mini-Internship. Please come prepared to share your experiences during this two-day adventure into the world of medicine. All Mini-Interns, LCMS participating physicians and hospital support staff

Annual Mini-Internship
Up to ten Mini-Interns are invited to spend two days observing doctors and others while they perform their daily activities in operating rooms, physicians' offices, clinics, laboratories and wherever they may practice within our community.
Are you interested in hosting a mini-intern? Volunteers are still needed to escort program participants and show them what you do all day. It's a fun and rewarding experience for all. Read more about the LCMS Mini-Internship Program and watch for details on the September event.

Ken Ryan, Vice President of Member Advocacy, from the Illinois State Medical Society will be our guest speaker at this Office Managers Luncheon. Ryan will address e-prescribing incentives and penalty deadlines, Medicaid reform legislation and more.
Practice Managers Program — Practice managers are invited to register for a half-day educational event in conjunction with the annual ISMS House of Delegates meeting. All sessions are free for ISMS members and their staffs and will take place at the Oak Brook Hills Marriot Resort in Oak Brook.
